Emilee Grace -a.k.a. Emi, Sweet Pea

Emilee is our sweet, sensitive naturally joyful bundle of happiness. She has an ornery streak to her that is most prominent in the morning when she doesn’t get to wake up on her own time, but most of the time she is pretty pleasant to be around. She is the youngest so another strong trait she has is letting people do things for her. She can sweet talk any of us into helping her do something she is perfectly capable of doing on her own with her big hugs and kisses, especially her dad. But we are all working on that. Emilee loves to play and has a great imagination. She loves barbies, dolls, stuffed animals and little toys. The littler the better. She loves going to preschool with Ms Cristi and playing with her best friend Reese and her cousin Jovee.  She is in the 90+ percentile for height and is very strong and agile so people mistake her for older than her 5 years.  A few weeks ago she accidentally almost beat her brother in a race to the house from the corner and has now made it a goal to be as fast as her brother.  She includes asking to ‘get faster than Matthew’ in her prayers almost every night now. Emilee is always up for a snuggle. It makes it really hard for both of us to get up in the morning when she comes and crawls in to snuggle. She is a mommies girl, loves the color purple, and can be corrected with a stern look. A raised voice will usually cause tears from her. She is a picky little eater. I don’t know how she has enough energy to do everything she does. She has been getting a little better about that lately but not much.  It takes a lot of work to get a vegetable in her. She is just starting to have confidence in riding her bike without training wheels. As soon as she was walking she loved her little scooter. She moved up to a little zippy three wheeled one a few years ago and is incredibly fast and can even do little 360’s or 180’s on it.  She has given many adults a good scare when they think she is going to crash but then does one of her little spins. She loves to climb trees and scale walls and fences, she perches herself on many many questionable things with out worry or fear. However, when it is time to get out of the car all the sudden she is like a 200 year old grandma and takes forever to get out and acts like the step out is a 30 foot drop. She is a sweet little girl and I love having her as my little companion whatever I am doing. I am already sad about her starting kindergarten next year.
